World Language Center was founded in Marlborough, Massachusettes on June 1st, 1999.  The main focus of the school is to provide effective, practical, and customer designed foreign language instructions in a variety of language. The first site of world Language Center was modest in size-about 560 square feet with only three classrooms.  As the public became aware of the quality of instruction offered at World Language Center, the number of students increased and more space required to operate the business.  On July 1st, 2001, the Center was moved to the current location, 488 Boston Post Rd, Marlborough, MA. World Language Center is privately owned language school.  Our teachers are highly qualified (college degree, Ph.D or equivelent and native speakers), motivated, and experienced teaching their own language to all levels.

The Arabic language

Arabic is a Semitic language with about 221 million speakers in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Cyprus, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Oman, Palestinian West Bank & Gaza, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, Uzbekistan and Yemen.

There are two main types of written Arabic:

1. Classical Arabic - the language of the Qur'an and classical literature. It differs from Modern Standard Arabic mainly in style and vocabulary, some of which is archaic. All Muslims are expected to recite the Qur'an in the original language, however many rely on translations in order to understand the text.
2. Modern Standard Arabic - the universal language of the Arabic-speaking world which is understood by all Arabic speakers. It is the language of the vast majority of written material and of formal TV shows, lectures, etc.
